HDR Teaser

Hey Everybody!

Joel Schat here, just wanted to start off with an apology for the effort that has been put into the blog post’s lately. Truth is, we got hired to shoot a fairly big project recently, and since then we have been taking on more and more opportunities as they come. It has been really exciting but also slightly overwhelming. We appreciate your patience and encourage you to leave a comment below with any questions or ideas for us, thank you! So anyway I am starting to get caught up with my work and now we have a ton of great stuff to release soon! We will do our best to keep this blog up to date and ensure full effort goes into each and every post.

I recently started learning and shooting HDR Timelapse. I have been inspired by the work of Dustin Farrell in Landscapes Vol 2 and his use of HDR in his timelapses. I have always believed that HDR made photo’s look too fake however I recently learned that some of my favourite clips are in fact HDR, they are just so perfectly edited that they don’t look fake. This is my newest goal in the world of timelapse, to master HDR Timelapse. We will be posting a tutorial in the near future outlining exactly how to shoot and edit an HDR Timelapse clip but until then you will just have to watch this teaser: Be sure to watch in 1080P.

We are also working on finishing up our final edit for Iris The Visual Group. It has been quite a whirlwind of an experience but we will be posting a blog about it when we post the final video soon! Another exciting video that will be coming out in the near future is our timelapse of Mt. Baker. This is hands down some of our best work yet and to get you excited about it.. think back to our film “Tears of st. Lawrence” but much cleaner and smoother. Enough from me though, I’m going to let Daniel fill you in on our plans for the weekend!

Alright so Halloween is approaching this weekend and it turns out the team here will have some pretty interesting plans! We have been asked to come shoot a video of the Neverland Halloween party at Mirage Nightclub here in Vancouver. Going to be a huge party with over $10k worth of themed movie set decor!! Should be a great time and I’m sure will look really cool on film. That will be released in the next coming weeks and I don’t doubt it will feature some pretty ridiculous shots. Stay tuned!

Thanks again for checking in and feel free to subscribe if you’d like to be notified of our next post. Enjoy the rest of your week everyone, till next time.
